Marlon Van Hee

Marlon van Hee (The Netherlands – 1976)

Previously worked for a Dutch tour operator in product management and as (online) marketing coordinator of the German National Tourism Board. In 2007 he started working for the European Centre for Eco and Agro Tourism (ECEAT); an NGO involved in sustainable tourism development projects worldwide. In his roles as project manager, coach, researcher and trainer, Marlon has supported tourism SMEs, Business Intermediary Organizations and Community Based Tourism initiatives in Africa and Asia in capacity-building, product development, Corporate Social Responsibility, marketing and promotion, EU market access and business matchmaking. Marlon has an impressive network within the European outbound tour operator industry, international travel press and media. He has been active in Myanmar since 2015 as a tourism expert for the Netherlands government and the UN International Trade Centre. He has been actively involved in the development and implementation of the Travelife Sustainability Management and Certification system for Tour operators and Travel agencies, www.travelife.info. During his carreer Marlon organized multiple familiarisation trips, road shows, tourism conferences and business matchmaking events.
